District-Issued Device Care & Usage
The items listed below were discussed with students during the first weeks of school. When students are home please assist them in remembering and following these items.

- Keeping all food and liquid away from devices
- Keeping the device surface clean and free of stickers and drawings
- Being mindful of where the device is charging
- Keep clear of anything that can cause overheating
- Not setting anything heavy on top of the device

Students are responsible for the following tasks. Please help them create a routine to accomplish these things each day/ night.
Devices should always be...
- Transported using the district-provided case
- Charged using the provided charger only
- Brought to school fully charged each day
If damage is observed, or a case or charger is lost, the IT department should be notified immediately. Refer to the SSD Technology Responsible Use Policy for details about computer acceptance of liability

In the case of a liquid spill with district electronics (Chromebook/laptop/iPad) the device needs to be turned off and stay off. Bring it to IT so we can open the device and properly dry it. Accidents happen, but if you try to use the device after, that is the moment when the damage can occur.
